During these strange times of coved 19 I have been able to maintain my social distancing at dawn.
I am mostly alone in the water well before the sun has risen and then for about 15 mins after sunrise. It is this predawn time that brings the most exquisite colours out. These dawn colours dance on the oceans surface and interact with the waves in the most beautiful ways. I am shooting images with a long telephoto lens 200mm in a water housing. This 9kg rig take s a lot of practice and discipline to use and since i am focused on the action quite a distance from my location I need to be aware of my position and have good peripheral vision or i will get smashed by the oncoming waves. I hope you enjoy the images in the Mooloolaba collection.
